Tonia Bricker Pilliod - Violist
|
Born to musical parents in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Ms. Bricker Pilliod currently performs with the Dallas Opera Orchestra and Fort Worth Symphony and teaches privately. In 1989, Ms. Bricker Pilliod won a full scholarship to Southern Methodist University to study with Barbara Hustis of the Dallas Symphony. She has since held principal positions in the Richardson Symphony, the East Texas Symphony, and the Carrollton Chamber Orchestra, and her performances have included solo appearances with the East Texas Symphony, the Chamber Symphony of the Metrocrest, and the National Repertory Orchestra in Breckenridge, Colorado. She also performed for a year in the Savannah Symphony in Georgia, where she was very active in their Chamber Music Outreach program. In the summers, Ms. Bricker Pilliod plays with the Utah Festival Opera and spends her free time rock climbing.
