Kristen Swanson - Violist

Having performed with such local groups as the Dallas Opera Orchestra, Voices of Change, and the Fort Worth Symphony, Ms. Swanson also has extensive international experience. She has performed as both a principal violist and soloist in Moscow, St Petersburg, Riga and Prague. In addition, Ms. Swanson has performed at the White House and throughout the United States. She has attended music festivals at Interlochen, Aspen, and Sarasota, and was a finalist in the Seventeen Magazine/General Motors National Concerto Competition. Ms. Swanson received a Bachelor of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music in 1995. She was also a student at Beijing University and speaks Mandarin Chinese.
